IE6 Laid To Rest. Pictures, Videos, And Flowers From Microsoft.
A few weeks ago, we noted that the Denver, CO-based design company Aten Design Group was holding a funeral for Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) , the much-hated browser. The funeral took place last night. It wasn’t without controversy as there were protestors , and even a bouquet of flowers sent by Microsoft. But overall, it looks like it was a classy ceremony. The blog Nonprofits and Web 2.0 was on hand and has posted several videos (a few of which I’ll embed below).

Yahoo Mail Makes Friends With Facebook
In December, Yahoo revealed a new strategy: lots and lots of Facebook . Today the company announced that they’re gradually rolling out the first feature to come from the partnership — Facebook Connect integration with Yahoo Mail. The new feature means that Yahoo Mail users can now connect their Facebook accounts and integrate their Facebook friends’ email addresses into their Yahoo Contacts list. Users can visit the Import Contacts page to be guided through he Facebook friend import process. Of course, this is just the beginning of the full Facebook Connect feature bonanza on Yahoo.

Emerald and Onyx: The Balcony Office [Featured Workspace]
Today's featured workspace is one of the more interesting conversions we've featured. It looks like a swanky office in a conservatory now, but it started life as a fairly drab balcony. Lifehacker reader ICULOOKN had a bit of a space problem. With the arrival of a new baby suddenly his office space was becoming a nursery space. Most people would try to carve out a niche in the basement for their stuff or even try to convert a closet into a micro-office.

The Day Trader’s Paradise [Featured Workspace]
What do you get when you have space for a custom office setup, a good amount of cash, and the vision to make it all happen? Dozens of monitors and the need for your own personal power plant. We've been watching Steve's office since he first posted the construction pictures into the Lifehacker Workspace pool. Slowly, we've watched his office take shape from a spackled room with naked monitor mounts into the jaw dropping display of computing power you see above. Steve just finished the project and posted some pictures to update us, writing: Originally there was to be 60 monitors, a mix of 19s and 24s however, it changed a bit and there is now 40 24" monitors and another 20 monitors offsite for development.

The Workspace-on-a-Shelf Office [Featured Workspace]
Today's featured workspace is about as tiny as a workspace can get, short of calling a lapdesk and netbook a workspace. Lifehacker reader Tek on Dek has some serious space constraints to work with. In order to have room for a computer workspace as well as the rest of his life in his limited space, he opted to wall mount the whole affair and to do so with a focus on minimizing the footprint of the workspace. He writes: Dual Dell G2410 Led Monitors
