Mozilla’s Mobile Browser Alpha Hits Android and Nokia N900 [PICS]
Mozilla has just released the Fennec 2.0 Alpha for Nokia N900 and Android 2.0+ devices. Fennec is the code name for Firefox mobile and includes the ability to install browser add-ons and sync with the desktop version of Firefox. The new version comes with built-in support for Firefox Sync (what was known as Weave), so that tabs, passwords and bookmarks that you use on your desktop can be easily synced and transferred to your mobile device. The alpha also includes support for pinch-to-zoom on Android, location-aware browsing, the ability to save a site as a PDF, and built-in site sharing via Facebook, Twitter or Google Reader.

Fennec (a.k.a. Firefox Mobile) goes alpha for Android and Nokia N900
Well, it looks like you can finally get rid of that less-than-stable pre-alpha release of Fennec (a.k.a. Firefox Mobile) for Android -- Mozillla has just released the full alpha release for not only Android (2.0 and later), but the Nokia N900 as well. The big news with this release is an increase in "performance and responsiveness to user actions" (always a good thing), as well as two new features dubbed "Electrolysis" and "Layers," the former of which lets the browser interface run in a separate process from the one rendering web content, while the latter promises to "greatly improve performance in graphic intensive actions like scrolling, zooming, animations and video." You'll also get full support for add-ons, and Firefox Sync built into the browser to let you have a continuous experience as you move between devices. Hit up the link below for the download link, and for a quick video overview of what's in store.

Fennec (aka Firefox Mobile) Alpha Available for Android [Downloads]
Android 2.0+/Maemo: We were impressed by Fennec's pre-alpha builds , and happy when they started releasing nightly builds for more stable testing , but Firefox Mobile has finally graduated to alpha on Android. Sure, development is moving a bit slowly, and it is still is in a very young alpha stage, but it's got some pretty cool features, most notably syncing bookmarks, passwords, and open pages with Firefox on your desktop. Hit the link to give it a whirl, and let us know what you think in the comments. [ Fennec Alpha via Download Squad ] More

Firefox 4 Beta 4 Introduces Sync and Panorama
Mozilla has released Firefox 4 Beta 4, bringing two very interesting features to the table: Panorama (previously called Tab Candy) and Sync. Panorama is a nifty visual tool that lets you overview all of your open tabs and group them into sets with a simple drag and drop interface. It’s activated via an icon at the right end of the bookmark bar, which takes you to your tab playground, where you can expand or delete your tab sets, create new ones and organize them around the canvas as you see fit.
Firefox’s Awesome Tab Candy Renamed Panorama, to Be Included with Sync in Firefox 4 [Updates]
/:16 Mozilla's creative lead Aza Raskin announced today that Tab Candy, the excellent tab management idea , will officially ship with Firefox 4. It's also been renamed to Firefox Panorama. Worth noting is that Firefox Sync (which handles bookmarks, history, Awesome Bar, passwords, form-fill data, and open tabs) is also shipping in Firefox 4. Sounds like good news for the next release of Firefox.

Restore Gmail’s Selection Links with a Greasemonkey Script [Featured User Script]
Firefox with Greasemonkey: During Gmail's latest design upgrade , the multiple selection links, including the "Unread" selector, were moved into an integrated box. Gmail fiends like Matt Kruse loved that "Unread" link, so he created a Greasemonkey script that brings them back. More
