New Tiger Woods Nike Commercial Hits the Web [VIDEO]
As Tiger Woods prepares for his return to professional golf on Thursday at The Masters , longtime sponsor Nike has created a new ad featuring the voice of the golfer’s late father, Earl Woods. The ad, titled “Earl and Tiger” manages to say a lot about Woods’ current personal situation in just thirty seconds. Nike will be airing the ad on ESPN and the Golf Channel this evening (and was uploaded earlier today to the Nike Golf YouTube channel ) and its tone of somber reflection will likely play well with audiences. While other brands including Accenture and AT&T have dropped Woods as an endorser, Nike has stood by its marquee golf pro

Oh MGD 64 iPhone App, Guide Me to a Healthier Lifestyle! [Beer]
I don't know about you, but I used to be the case a day type. You know, pick up a 24 pack in the morning, sort my cardboard and aluminum recycling in the evening. Then, one app changed my life. More

T-Mobile invites us to ‘come experience the HTC HD2′ on March 16; release on the 24th? (update: or 23rd!)
Like clockwork, we've just been dropped a line by T-Mobile USA asking us to join them for a very special media event to check out the HTC HD2 -- "a larger than life entertainment powerhouse" -- in fabulous New York City on the evening of March 16. That lines up nicely with the company's earlier assurances that we'd see a launch in March -- but what day in March, exactly? Well, we're hearing from a number of tipsters (including trusted sources) that the 24th is the day this thing breaks loose at retail, so set your watches and calendars accordingly -- assuming you haven't been wooed into Windows Phone 7 Series' tender, loving grasp, that is.

All But Confirmed: No Flash In Windows Mobile 7 (At Least at First) [Windows Mobile 7]
A scoop of sorts over at Phone Scoop (and verified elsewhere this evening) confirms that Windows Mobile 7 will not support flash at launch—which is officially tomorrow during the MWC—but will eventually support it, sometime. Both Phone Scoop and Engadget are confirming the news this evening, which means tomorrow's big Windows Mobile 7 reveal will be revealing, yes, but will not include mention of Adobe or flash. Please note that this is reportedly for initial builds of the OS, and will most likely change with later versions. Most likely. [ Phone Scoop via Engadget ]

Mechanical Tauntaun Costume Pushes Halloween Insanity to the Galactic Outer Rim [Star Wars]
At last, Star Wars fans all over the world would be able to go to their wedding on a tauntaun, to eat their tauntaun cake , and then carry their imaginary brides to a lovefest inside their tauntaun sleeping bags . Which is exactly how my next wedding would be, mind you. Check his blog for the step by step instructions. When I see these overachievers in action I just want to go downstairs, grab a carrot cake, a latte, and spend my evening reading a book.

T-Mobile USA down all over the place? (update: yes)
We're getting reports from sea to shining sea this evening that T-Mobile service is down or intermittent on both voice and data -- particularly bad timing in light of the recent Sidekick drama . We've tested in New York and it's definitely down for us -- both voice and data -- so how's service treating everyone out there? [Thanks to everyone who sent this in] Update: We just got an official statement from T-Mobile, and it's confirmed -- service is down. Here's the statement: "T-Mobile customers may be experiencing service disruptions impacting voice and data

Please, Don’t Make a Whiskey PC with a Good Whiskey Bottle [PCs]
Yesterday I spent the evening at Tuthilltown Spirits , New York's first distillery after the Prohibition, and makers of some of the most delicious whiskey I've ever had. I would never use their bottles to make a PC. It'd be sacrilege. A bottle of bad whiskey, on the other side, would be perfect for it.
