Facebook Questions: A New Opportunity for Small Business?

Facebook has joined the likes of Yahoo and LinkedIn with the rollout of a new Q&A product called Facebook Questions . While the Q&A format is nothing new on the web, Facebook’s more than 500 million users add an interesting twist to the space, and potentially, create an opportunity for small businesses as the feature evolves. Questions is still in beta, but if you have it enabled, you can see that Facebook wants to make it a major part of the site

Sling says it’s fixed ‘many’ of the problems affecting users, still has more work to do

Sling said on Friday that it was working on fixing the array of issues plaguing its streaming service, and it now says that it's made some changes that "seem to have addressed many of the problems." Speaking with Crave , a Sling spokesperson further added that the issues "were the result of a data migration process that, while carefully planned for a long time, still had a number of unexpected problems." The spokesperson went on to note that while things have gotten better over the last 24 hours, "they aren't nearly good enough for everyone yet" -- something confirmed by a number of Sling users who are continuing to report problems on the official support forums today. David Beckham Jumps onto Yahoo Answers

Football star David Beckham is set to answer questions from fans using Yahoo Answers, part of his new role as the company’s “Global Sports Ambassador” -– a deal that also requires Beckham to contribute commentary to Yahoo Sports during the World Cup. The live Q&A event takes place on July 14; until then, users are encouraged to ask their questions over on Yahoo Answers, where some 250+ answers to the query “what would you ask and why?” have already been submitted. The most interesting part, perhaps, is that the selected questions will come from 20 different countries. The fans that came up with the questions will ask them over live video via Cisco TelePresence.

Google Mobile Answers Questions and Settles Bar Bets (with Sources) [Google School]

Google's standard search box is learning to answer questions and show its sources, and now its mobile version is learning to do the same . Type certain types of questions into your Android search box, the Google app on iPhone, or at m.google.com , and Google will answer the questions it can clearly and show you its sources.
